Sump Pumps

A sump pump is a pump that can be found underneath the floor of your basement or in a crawl space. The pump sits in a pit known as the “sump pit,” where it collects and protects your home from groundwater.

A double sump pump system (pictured on the right) has two pumps, each capable of pumping 80 gallons per minute. This system include a Wi-Fi alarm which will send a text message if the backup pump turns on.

Groundwater can rise through the cracks in your home after heavy rain. If there was flooding in your basement or crawl space, it’s the sump pump’s job to collect the water and direct it to flow away from your home.

If you live in an area with an increased chance of flooding, you need a sump pump. If a portion of your home is below ground and is inclined to draw moisture, your sump pump will take care of rising water levels before they damage your home’s foundations.
